Today we have discussed about our assignment topic. There are 6 topics to be chosen by 12 groups. Therefore, 2 groups will be presenting the same topic. For my group, we got the topic interview and for the main task for this assignment is everyone have to do a 'DOs and DONTs' version of the given topic. We are given around one and a half month to finish up this task.
After the assignment discussion, we have proceed with Chapter 5(a). Mr. Anwari has assigned every group a topic based on the principle of verbal messages with consists of :
1.Message Meanings are in People
2.Messages are Denotative and Connotative
3.Meanings depend on Context/Abstraction
4.Messages Vary in Politeness
5.Messages Vary in Assertiveness
6.Messages can Deceive
